Open To Work is a LinkedIn feature that lets you let others know you are searching for new job opportunities. While this tool can help connect you to potential employers and expand your career network, you may no longer be interested in receiving inquiries for job openings or want to keep your employment status private.
This guide will cover the step-by-step process to remove the Open To Work feature from your LinkedIn profile.
To start, you will need to access your LinkedIn account and navigate to your profile. You can do this by following these simple steps:
Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the screen on the web browser or tap on your profile picture on the mobile app.
Select “View Profile” from the dropdown menu. This will bring you to your LinkedIn profile page.
Now that you are on your LinkedIn profile page, your next step is to access the profile editing interface.
Editing the Open To Work Feature
Once you are on your profile page, follow these steps to edit the Open To Work feature and remove it from your profile:
Locate the “Open To Work” section on your profile. You will find it below your name and headline on the web browser. On the mobile app, you will find it under your profile picture.
Click on the pencil icon within the Open To Work section to enter the editing mode.
Now, you will see a window where you can edit your job preferences and visibility settings. Since you aim to remove the Open To Work feature from your profile, you need to turn off its visibility.
